Engagement shoots are always fun but how about one where the bride to be doesn’t even know she is getting engaged! When photographer Latisha Carlson of Latisha Lyn Photography sent over this super sweet shoot, I knew I had to share. For weeks Latisha and the future groom, Drew, planned this surprise pop-the-question under the guise a a simple styled photo shoot.
Latisha escorted the lovely Brenna to the surprise destination blindfolded where Drew was eagerly waiting with a hand-painted sign that read “hello best friend”. How sweet.
When Drew fell to bended knee and proposed, I just love the expression on Brenna’s face. Such an important moment and one that usually doesn’t get captured on film. This is something they can cherish forever.
Congratulations to this happy couple. Hopefully we will get a chance to see the wedding photos as well. And thank you to Latisha for sending these are way. So adorable. Now I want to get engaged all over again…. Did you have an interesting or unique engagement? Do tell!

May 18, 2012 at 2:26 pmThis is adorable! I’ve told many of my guy friends to make sure they get a photographer for when the pop the question…many times I tell them not to let their soon-to-be-fiance know about the photographer so they can surprise her with the photo on their wedding day!
My husband completely caught me off guard when he proposed…he picked me up a work on a Thursday afternoon for lunch, and while walking back in the middle of Denver, he asked me to dance with him…the next thing I knew…he was down on one knee. It was one of my favorite memories and I will cherish it forever! (though I totally wish we had awesome photos like this!)

May 21, 2012 at 8:07 amThank you! Super cute couple. I had a very unceremonious engagement so I get a little mushy when I see ones like this. So sweet and thanks again for sharing.

August 5, 2012 at 11:08 pmThey say that a picture is worth a thousand words, well these are worth many more. I felt every emotion and it is true sometimes candid shots like this are missed. I know they will cherish this memory. Great job to the photographer!
